pandacoderz/ui

Introduction

Composable React components for AI-native interfaces, distributed as a shadcn registry and documented with Astro.

pandacoderz/ui is a set of copy-paste React components for building chat and agent interfaces: prompt inputs, message threads, reasoning blocks, tool calls, model pickers, and the glue between them.

You don’t install a package. You install files. Each component lands in components/pandacoderz-ui/ in your project, built on shadcn/ui primitives and Tailwind CSS v4, and you own it from there.

Why this exists

Most component libraries stop at buttons and dialogs. AI products need a different vocabulary: streaming markdown, collapsible thinking, tool-call cards with status, a scroll container that sticks to the newest token. These components cover that layer, and the AI Chat block shows all of them composed into a working surface.

What’s inside

  • Nine components, each documented with a live preview, install command, usage, and API reference.
  • One block, a complete chat UI with a scripted streaming transport, ready to point at your own API.
  • A shadcn registry at /r/<name>.json, so npx shadcn@latest add works out of the box.
  • Agent-friendly docs: every page has a markdown mirror under /llm/* and there’s an index at /llms.txt.
